Attendance

When your attendance does not match your reports, it is usually because teachers have taken attendance on non-school days. To clear this up, you need to first run a Year and Term report. Main Menu > Report Manager > Administration > Year and Term Report > Print.

Look at the AT (Attendance) and SD (School day) columns. We should not see AT set to Y when SD is set to N. This means their teachers have taken attendance on a holiday or non-school day.

You then need to print a Student Attendance Details report. Main Menu > Report Manager > Attendance > Student Attendance Details > Print > Arrow over enrolled students > Print > Choose All Codes > Custom From and To enter the one date > Print > This will display the teachers who have taken attendance on that date.


For correcting this in Desktop: 1) click Attendance, 2) click Attendance – Student, 3) select Student, 4) select Date, 5) change view to Week, 6) you can then click the incorrect attendance mark until it clears the box!


This usually means your teachers have taken attendance on non school days. You will need to print the Year and Term report. Main Menu > Report Manager > Administration

 > Year and Term Report > Print. You need to look for Y for attendance taken on days that are marked N for no school day. Document the dates in question. To determine what classes the attendance were taken in, go to Main Menu > Report Manager > Attendance >

 Student Attendance Detail > Print > Move over all students > Print > Choose All Codes > Group by Class > Custom Date Range > Choose the date in both boxes such as 9/1/2015 to 9/1/2015 > Print. This will give you the classes where attendance was taken. To remove

 the attendance marks, go to Main Menu > Attendance > Attendance Class > Choose the class > Choose the date in question > Click on the code used for that date in the box of codes > Click on the code given to the student next to the student name to remove it.

 It must be done in that order in order to properly remove the attendance mark. You cannot remove attendance codes from non school days in RenWeb 1. If your numbers still do not match, we need to run Create Daily Attendance. Using the above Year and Term Report,

 you will be able to see the term beginning and ending dates. First verify if Create Daily Attendance is set to Desktop or Portal (RenWeb 1). Login RenWeb 1 > Home > System > Configuration > School Configuration > Desktop Attendance or Portal Attendance. If

 Desktop, then you will need to run Create Daily Attendance in Desktop. If RenWeb 1, you will need to run it in RenWeb 1. In Desktop, go to Main Menu > Attendance > Create Daily Atttendance > Make sure the top fields are filled out for Number of Absences for

 HALF and FULL day > Choose the first day of the term and the end day of the term > Choose the grade levels in question or all > Run. Repeat for each term. It must be ran by term and not for the entire year. In RenWeb 1, go to Home > System > Configuration

 > Attendance > Click on the Gear > Select the Grade Level > Make sure the HALF and FULL day is set for Period attendance or HOMEROOM is selected > Click Create Day Attendance > Full Year > Create Daily Attendance.
