Gradebook categories do not transfer to report cards.
Create the categories for reading, writing, spelling, etc. Skill grades must be entered manually once per grading period, as they use different NAD-required marking codes. Even if Language Arts gradebook categories match the skills listed on the report card, their averages only contribute to the overall subject grade and do not transfer individually.
