Data Rollup is a reporting application that optimizes the delivery of reports for all levels: school, conference, union and division.
All reports are formatted to clearly represent the data you have imported. Data Rollup generates reports from your SIS application—it does not alter or manipulate the imported data. No new information is gathered or shared in the data rollup process.
Schools who are using approved SIS vendors (AE-Connect, CA SIS, FACTS SIS or Jupiter) send data imports regularly to the Data Rollup server. This makes reporting easy! Generate a report with the simple click of a button. Scan to verify accuracy and know that the report is already available at the next level of our education system’s hierarchy.
Each school’s data is filtered according to the Data Rollup specifications upon importing to the Data Rollup server. If there is any discrepancy in data, a report is generated consisting of critical ID errors, errors, and warnings according to the severity. When the errors are resolved, the errors disappear.
These reports are available in Data Rollup depending on level of access.
NOTE: The Blue Book report was removed June, 2020.
Let’s start from the beginning . . .
Each student, teacher, staff member, and school is assigned a unique ID number. Student ID numbers follow them through their entire PK–12 schooling and an educator will keep an ID number through their whole career. The entire data rollup protocol is based on unique and consistent ID numbers for students and teachers.
Once an individual receives an ID, the conference assigns a role: teacher, principal, staff, etc. That role will automatically define which information a person can see. A user can only generate reports appropriate to that user’s role and unavailable reports won’t appear in the list for that user.
For example,
- Teachers only see reports that are directly connected to their classroom.
- Principals are only able to see reports for students of teachers in their schools.
- Superintendents can only generate reports on students of teachers belonging to a school that is in their conference.
It is essential that schools help conferences manage and update roles — so conferences are able to assign new roles when positions are changed or filled, and remove roles from individuals who leave.
